First cut replacement f1 bred heifers
Approximately 2150 FI Bred Heifers to pick from, all sired by Topp Herefords bulls. We purchase roughly 60% of our customers’ top-end heifers. Before breeding we cull out about 4% of the heifers that aren’t performing as well as we would like. After the preg-check we will cull another 5% for soundness, efficiency and disposition.
All heifers are on a full vaccination program. Round 1: Somubac, 7-way pinkeye, Inforce 3 and are tagged and poured. Round 2: Pinkeye Booster, Bovi-Gold FP5-VL5, Multi-Min, Valbazen and are branded. Round 3: Bangs Vaccinated.
Heifers are ultra-sounded in August. Calving dates range from February 15th - May 25th. They will be sorted into groups of confirmed calving dates and can load out straight from the preg check chute in August or held until the fall to ship in October. The heifers will be re-pregged before load out.
